The Commonality of Leg Length Discrepancy

Do your shoes wear differently in the heel? Are your pants legs hemmed at different lengths? Small differences in leg length are common. In fact, as many as a third of the population may have a 1 cm or less (less than ½”) discrepancy between their right and left legs. Some leg length discrepancies may cause limping when walking or difficulty in running, and the small misalignment may cause hip or back pain. Often a shoe lift provides enough support to remediate the discrepancy.

A variety of medical professionals recommend lifts – (chiropractors, physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons). MCRC has been helping customers with leg length discrepancy for more than 75 years.
